Pay Per Click and SEO, what you need to know.
There are many different ways to get more traffic to your website such as social media and print advertisements, but the most effective ways to get more hits is through Pay Per Click and SEO, so whats the difference and what do you need to know?.
Pay Per Click
PPC stands for pay per click and is all about significance. This is important for clients in that they are searching for particular products, services, and information.
Advertisers can show a targeted ad at the same time that the user is searching and I’m sure you have seen these before whilst Googling. Although there are other PPC marketplaces Google AdWords is by far the biggest pay-per-click stage and is continuously growing each year.
AdWords was established and first implemented in October 2000 and has gone through many iterations in the last 17 years.
This works by displaying relative adverts and every time an ad is clicked, sending a visitor to a website, you have to pay a small fee. PPC can gain results very quickly and can bring enquiries to your website overnight. The downside to PPC is the small Fee you pay which can add up to tens of thousands of pounds per month for competitive results and this is why an optimised campaign must be set up and regularly monitored to make sure your budget doesn’t run away with itself. S.E.O
SEO stands for search engine optimization and is basically a complex mathematical formula called an algorithm that Google use to give a score to every website and
every search people do into Google to figure out which website should rank best for what people are looking for.
Basically, SEO lets you view what changes you need to make to your website in terms of content and design so
that your website will reach the top result and to make your site more attractive to a search engine. This can often be a lengthy marketing strategy as Google does take a long time to recognise the results but when your website does eventually start to be placed higher in the rankings the leads and enquiries soon follow.
